After a long absence of posting, I am back, posting with a vengeance.  It's not that I haven't been taking photos.  I've actually taken them here and there all along.  I decided photos aren't much use if you file them away and never actually look at them, and I am rather enjoying myself perusing through to find the hidden gems.

I've had the opportunity to take photos for the company I do web design for, which is awesome, because it affords me practice on much better equipment and lighting, with models I'd never be able to meet or photograph otherwise.  

On a daily basis I trot around with a Nikon D40 now taking....Found art.  As in, found in everyday moments.  That's my favorite kind of photo I think.  Maybe.  Kinda hard to choose...

Yay!!  *dances around the computer lab*  My roommate found my camera stashed underneath the couch of all places.  HOW it got there I can't even begin to explain.  And how he ever managed to stumble on it I can't guess either,....but it's back, and I'm taking pictures.  Life is good.

My camera disappeared at the beginning of last week.  I've been retracing my steps for days trying to see if I can make it turn up but there's no luck so far and I'm out of possibilities.  I have a sinking feeling it might have been stolen during one of my labs.  It is a bit of a blow to me. Besides having a lot of personal memories on the card and new art photos, it has been an important creative and emotional connection to my world as of late,...not to mention a tool.  A 3d texture artist isn't much good if they don't have a camera to take textures with.  And now there is no more money for a new one for a while.... *sigh*

So I guess unless a miracle happens and I find my camera or can use another one, I won't be uploading much until I can afford another one.

Thank you for the support and thoughtful comments you have left for me thus far!  Hopefully I won't be out of commission too long....
